Because I open everything, I don't want the packaging lol. Kind of, but I don't really care. Rarity isn't going to stop me from opening any of my cars lol.
Hi! I'm pretty sure he meant the “error” is rare, not the car itself. The car is not rare. Errors generally are very rare, but not all (example of a non rare error – 2015 mainline Fiat 500 Polizia with the treasure hunt logo on the card). Some people collect errors, but errors have to stay unopened. Being unopened is the only way to prove an error. Everything else can be opened wothout losing “proof”. A normal car, even a limited edition, might lose value, but not “proof” by being opened.
Hello, thanks for checking out my blog! Yes, I am aware of that, and sorry to say but I couldn't care less lol. To an extent, but you can actually just unseal the blister card from the card using acetone and just glue it back on without leaving a trace, so it can be forged pretty easily. But that's besides the point, I don't collect errors and I open everything and this is certainly not an exception.
Yeah, i'm aware of that technique. It's not that easy to do it, but it's happening more. A very attentive inspection might show some signs of forgery (tiny misalignements or tiny rips), but it's hard. However I don't collect errors and open everything too! If I like the card I open the blister with an x-acto knife to keep it working like a box. You take great photos and I love checking them out!
Yeah, well most people aren't doing it for forgery fortunately. They're doing it to make packaged customs mostly. Excellent, glad there's another collector who opens up everything, that's the best way to enjoy diecasts in my opinion! Nice, that's a good idea, it takes up less space to store opened cars too. My photos are ok, I need to upgrade to a light box or something eventually, but thank you, I appreciate it!
